Day to day I lived,
I thought I knew it all.
Then when I met you,
How could I but not fall.
I lived a life of hope,
To dream was my way out,
Time had passed so fast,
I wondered without a doubt.
Inside I’ll always have you,
I’d never let you go,
My outside will be empty,
Too never see that glow.
I live in my own prison,
I built these walls of stone,
Without you by my side,
I’m destined to be alone.

I walk quietly behind you
Led by a single candle light
As your path becomes darker
My candle will become bright
Your road ahead may be glorious
With no reason to turn around
But come the first sign of rain
I will always be easily found
Sometimes the road may narrow
With hills impossible to climb
My hands will be there for you
With needed force from behind
There are obstacles that lay ahead
May cause you to stumble and fall
I’ll always be there to lift you up
And hold you until you stand tall
Not chosen to walk beside you
I will gladly assume my place
For I will always love you
With these tears on my face

I look and feel
nothing but what I want to
no longer afraid of the future
or afraid to say the wrong things
because I have nothing
to lose I already lost you
what else could I lose
that is more valuable than that
I lost love for you
but found love for myself
and the people I love and love me
in return
you will fade in darkness
with the rest of my memories
because love always fades
when you give it
a chance
farewell then and always remember

Empty cruise ships
Bring no love from distant lands
Massive time-rips (of loneliness) torn with my hands
I ask for nothing
But for the rules to this cruel game
And for my loving
To find your heart, to know your name
I stumble blindly
My eyes burn from the sands of time
Help me find me
Not knowing you’s my only crime
Give me purpose
A road to walk, a song to sing
Or leave me feckless
A blind young fool, a wretched thing

My world walked out the door
With her she took my heart
For I will love no more
The hours passed like seconds
When our two hearts were one
The seconds passed like hours
After she said that she was done
I no longer live in color
My world is black and white this moment
I hope tomorrow is better
This is what I pray
But right now my heart is broken
I can’t stop crying today
